In Grade School, my English Teacher once said that I was smart but lazy. She got it right. I had the mental aptitude for sure but at the time I was too lazy to put anything on paper. Even today, I still do not have the passion to put words on paper. Here is my story.
About five years ago I decided to start a blog. I survived. You got it wrong my dear English teacher. I lasted five long years then took a break. I’m about to do it again. Hopefully without the break. And what’s up with five years?
Thanks in part to Social Media. Facebook was my “go to”. A friend once called me “Mr. Facebook” since I was constantly on Facebook sharing contents even before users hit the billion mark. Then it was Instagram and Twitter. Look how Social Media evolved into our every day lives. People are constantly on their phones and tablets sharing contents. Most believe that they are journalists in their own minds.
This statistic shows the number of Facebook users worldwide from 2015 to 2020. In 2020, the global number of Facebook users is expected to reach 1.69 billion, up from 1.34 million in 2014.
There is also Instagram and Twitter to content with. But shouldn’t that be enough free platform for me to write on? I always longed for creating my own. The reason is that I was limited to content to share on free Social Media. I was told that certain things I’m sharing was violating the site’s community standards. Wasn’t even sure what that meant.
We recognize how important it is for Facebook to be a place where people feel empowered to communicate, and we take seriously our role in keeping abuse off our service. That’s why we’ve developed a set of Community Standards that outline what is and is not allowed on Facebook. Our policies are based on feedback from our community and the advice of experts in fields such as technology, public safety and human rights. To ensure that everyone’s voice is valued, we take great care to craft policies that are inclusive of different views and beliefs, in particular those of people and communities that might otherwise be overlooked or marginalized.
Ok. Now I understand. You can appeal this if you believe you are not in violations of the above community standards.
The changes come at a time when Facebook is attempting to increase transparency about a number of its policies, in the wake of criticism over how it’s handled data privacy and other issues.
When it comes to community standards, one of the biggest criticisms the company’s faced is that users have very little recourse when they feel like Facebook has made the wrong decision.
Facebook will widen its appeal process to be available to more users. Initially, this means that people who have content removed for violating the company’s policies around hate speech, nudity, sexual activity, and violence will have the opportunity to ask Facebook to review a decision. Later on, Facebook will allow appeals in cases where content is reported, but not removed, as well.
I never believed that I ever purposely post contents that were in violation of Facebook’s community standards. Lately, if my content is flagged, I let it stay that way then move on to sharing other contents. I believe in the sensitivity of others in these times where most people are sensitive to contents where they believe it may go against their personal ethics. You will never see me posts violence, race, politics where I believe it may make others uncomfortable.

My story really began when I decided I am on this earth for greater things than working for a boss for a living. I remember looking through business magazines to find clues on what to do next. I remember reading my first self help book, started doing surveys online, joining Nutrilite which turned out awful. Amway, formally Quixstar turned out much better. Seminars and local meetings really shaped me into the future. Five years or so later, I started my own Investment Club without a clue what I was doing, but, I had most of the experience to lead my team for over five years or better. I found my passion in the economy and the Stock Market. Cryptocurrency investment came by accident. I opted payment to Cryptocurrency from an online survey company and I found my calling. By the way, I can say I am one of the pioneers in my circle since these currencies were not as popular as it is today. With all my other endeavors, investing never was place on the back burner. In other words, I never stopped investing.
Transitioning to this site was much easier and less costly. Building this is in lock step with my goal to start a new project ever year.
