Hello everyone. Happy Monday to you all. It’s a beautiful day with sunshine in the northeast. It’s blogging time!

So, what have I been doing? Thanks for asking. For the past few weeks, I have been doing a lot of upgrades to my accounts on various traffic exchanges plus joining in more groups, plus forming a few groups of my own. My blog site saw an uptick in membership, and I also got new members joining in with me on the traffic exchanges as well. You are rewarded for membership, which can bring you residual income for a lifetime. This is a great feeling since knowing that I am moving on to the next level in marketing.
I should also mention that I am in the top groups and individuals on these sites as well, with members in the tens of thousands. Doing the impossible, which became possible just by doing the extras, any chance I get. It’s time to step up more to leadership.
What are the qualifications for leadership? Well, good leadership is a trait that you can not study in courses or literature. It is born in you. It’s the take charge attitude you do when no one is watching. This also goes well beyond just taking a paycheck and doing what the boss requires you to do. Its internal upgrades to self. It’s helping others help themselves. You tell your audience what you are going to do, do it, and then explain to them what you did. Grabbing the bull by It’s horn and running with it.
A leader does not wait for a crisis to happen to him/her before making moves. Timing means nothing to a good leader since he/she can weather any storm. Do you fit in as a good leader? Don’t forget that wanting to lead is based solely on your qualities and decisions and not based only on a paycheck.
I had the pleasure of working with leaders in an affliate marketing company that I was involved in, and I never forget when one shook my hand and said that I was going places. I left the company, eventually, to form my own investment group. Never thought that I would’ve been able to do it, I just thought about it, and then I did it. It is best to encourage one of their good qualities rather than to berate them all the time.
So, you want to be a leader? Be sure of being a specialist in your leadership role. In other words, if you are good at a thing. Show some leadership in it. I also had the pleasure of talking to an individual who is a group leader in a protective service company. We talked briefly on how he fits workers in roles depending on their qualities. This makes sense since placing individuals in certain roles that they are good at or comfortable in doing makes that individual happier in his/ her role moving the work environment forward. When I started on my current place of employment, I was placed at the main entrance early in the morning when the guests arrived. I was part of their welcoming committee, which I feel more than welcome to participate in. This is the place where I felt more comfortable and in an sometime somber days when guests were not happy to be coming in to work.
The worst you can do for your organization is to place individuals in positions that they are terrible at just to cut cost. Ever hear the saying that you get what you paid for. Such is the case.
Here is the list of qualifications for leadership
- Be punctual
- Do the work
- Do the extras
- Stop thinking about money.
A leader will arrive early and stay late if necessary. They will do the work required them to do. They will make the necessary adjustments to their work schedule. They will not be thinking too much on pay for extra work.
If you can work hard when no one is watching, then you may have leadership tendencies to take you to greatness.
Now to team and leadership. I will pick a sport, say basketball. Watch the game. I love the game. Everyone has a role on the team. You have a center. A point guard. Small forwards and shooting guards. Skills are based on their ability to play that role. Some players are diversified at different roles. The bottom line is that the best player in his role controls the overall aspect of the entire league. Good players can become great players. Look at the statistics: Passing. Defending. Blocking. Shooting.
These are the statistics that will never show up on a player/team’s sheet.
- The player who always gets the ball after a broken play.
- The player who starts practicing early and stays late all the time
- The player who encourages the team
- The player who works hard all the time on the court
The non-statistical traits make great leadership. This is a take charge attitude in your work, school, and business. You will not noticed but it sure helps your bottom line in helping your team strive and you to be a great leader as a part of the whole.
