Misinformation

Hello, everyone, and Happy Monday to you all. It’s blogging time once again!

Was not sure of what to write about today, but this topic came to me while I was doing some research on some new programs to add to my portfolio over the weekend. I’m good since my posting deadline is not until later this afternoon.

First and foremost, I hope you all had a past  blessed week and weekend.

I’m seeking new affliated programs to add to my portfolio. I did my regular search through my affiliations and was as confused as to which programs were real or fake. My confusion started when I actually clicked on a program with the promises of easy step by step money making residual income until I actually clicked on it. I won’t say what program that was, but, really, I do not remember, or I just wiped it entirely from my mind. My search ended right there. All this happened a few days ago. But at least this wasn’t my first rodeo.

The good thing about building a big portfolio is that it gives you the freedom to not get caught up in every information I see online or off. I will check it out to see if it fits within my portfolio. I do seek transparency. But transparency is not always the case in all my experience working online. I do not like misinformation. There are many “hook and bait” schemes out there. Just do your due diligence first before hopping into any programs, no matters how great you think it appears.

There are always disclaimers, but some disclaimers can not be seen unless you first add your information to see what that program is all about. You can also delete your information if you no longer want to participate in it, so that is a good thing. You may no longer at best get correspondence from this affliate ever again.

So this “hook and bait” I was referring to is that eye-popping advertisement that seems to get your attention over others. Yes. We learn that in marketing. But, luring folks to false pretense is not part of my marketing skills. These “baits” will discourage many from ever trusting what they see in affliated marketing programs for good. This is not good. Since this hinders many from seeking their dreams of making money online and gaining their financial freedom.

It is sometimes good what people are talking about in the comments. The ratings do help in most programs since you can be able to make a decision before even clicking on, but if receiving these advertisements in emails or traffic exchanges, this information may not be given so you have to go blindly into clicking on them with the hopes of gaining success.

On one of my posts, a couple of weeks ago on traffic exchanges, while doing some research, someone posted a comment, not directly at me but in general on traffic exchanges. This person stated that traffic exchanges work as conduit for affliate marketers to showcase their programs that don’t really work. Furthermore, another person stated that lots of these programs don’t get much sign up on traffic exchanges. These are all honest comments that can be negative in real life. Again, the affliate programs that stand out above the rest may be all gimmicks to garner your attention; thus, forming that “hook and bait” concept I mentioned earlier. This may be or may not be the case, but most will not even check it out and continue scrolling.

I am always looking for more programs that will fit within my network. I will continue to check them out to weed out the scams and sign up, and share the good ones. There are a few advertising concepts that hit a red flag for me, including

  • You may have won…?
  • You can make up to…?
  • Not guaranteed to earn..?
  • For advertising purposes only…?
  • The comments that appear from users that appear to be tailor-made…?
  • This is the best program…..?

Although these programs may be legitimate, the best way is to check them out to prove me wrong and to prove them right. Good luck with that!

All the programs that I share come with one disclosure. You will not get rich from them. But, you will definitely make some decent income if you use them wisely. Many people at the beginning, as well as myself, see these programs as scams to take your money and rob you blind. This is further from the truth of the ones(programs) that I still stick to years later. The bottom line is, when you are not used to a thing, it becomes strange to you as it seems unreal. Speaking of which. During my research, just a day ago, one person wrote. “Some of these programs make it hard for you to reach the payment threshold, but load up the advertisements and videos so that they make money whether you quit or not.”  But most eventually will quit with all to lose.

Build your network. Build with quality programs just in case you make the decision to quit some programs. Weed out the bad and installed some good replacement if necessary. Invest your time and money wisely as well. I am glad to know that most of the programs I stuck with, I became loyal to them to this day.

Thanks for reading.
