Happy Funday Sunday! A new months beginning. Welcome to the month of June. It’s blogging time again!
I have the dubious honor to blog on whatever comes to mind. Whether it is common decency, common sense, or common knowledge. The stage is all mine. No themes. No filters. Just random topics to vent on. This should be interesting.
Summer on the East Coast USA is almost here. I love the outdoors, but there are three things I hate being outdoors, which are mosquitoes, pollen, and smokers of all kinds. Let me squeeze in the humidity in the mix, which is nothing compared to my worst hatred…. Smokers of all kinds. Especially the ones who willfully do so in public places without the care of children or the elderly or anyone else. The no smoking sign could be up in their faces, which they so stupidly ignore. I don’t drink alcohol or it’s related beverages, and I do not smoke as well. I don’t mind drinkers since the abuse of alcohol is personal, if not drinking and behind the wheel of an automobile which to cause bodily harm to fellow motorists, but smoking affects the ozone, unrelating effect to one owns health deem as second hand smoke.
The law approves for one to smoke and drink. I don’t mind if no one cares about their own health as long as they abuse alcohol and smoking of all kinds in the comfort of their own personal space and not to the mercy of others.
OK. I know. We are living in a new era now, and changes are necessary to adapt. What has become of social media these days. It is turning out to be a dating site. These medias are pretending that meeting people online is safer than it has in the past and fooling everyone. I signed up on Threads recently, and I was amazed that men and women were putting their photos online and flirting with each other. Facebook now has a section for hookups. This is a far cry from what social media was all about. Not only is all this dangerous, but it is readily in the grasp of children and young adults as well.
Someone has written that the original dating sites are losing their glory days. “Why should one have a subscription for love?” someone wrote. Social media is now a better sell since most people spend their time there as well and for free.
Vegans. Vegetarians. Meat lovers. Animal lovers. Thank Heavens we don’t eat our own pets. But eating has now become an experiment. All places that prepared food and in the aisle are serving up all kinds of diet that are tailor-made to what eating means to you. Food is now processed to take out what you don’t need to replace what you need to suit your palate. Vegans do not eat meat or animals by products. They claimed that no one has the right to kill and eat animals or to use their by products. Vegetarians are the watered-down version of that. They are less limited to what can be eaten. Meat lovers, well, are all in. Confusion? Yes. But since we are living in a diverse society, this is to be expected.
So I read this article that states that the reason why the government pleads to their citizens to eat in moderation is that they know that if they eat too much of the food they eat, they will die since the food they consume are not as healthy due to the process used to preserve or manufacture them. Ever wonder why food has expiry dates or will quickly go bad? Not a yummy thought!
“So you are a blogger. I’ve got to be careful what I say around you. ” Was a reply a got from someone I had met earlier. This depends on how strongly I felt about our conversations. People normally talk to me without restrictions. Furthermore, I never use people’s names or images in my blogging. You may give me content to write on based on our conversations, but our conversations will still remain private.
Everyone has the right to act or say whatever they please. Power is not given to me to change or criticize what a person is doing if whatever they’re doing has no adverse effort on my lifestyle or existence.
Politics and religion have no place in the workplace since we all are living and working with a diverse group of people who have different views, especially when it comes down to religion. Christianity is easily understood over religion on a whole where Christianity means Christlike. Not many people want to break the ties on what they were being taught by their ancestors and ruin their tradition. What will they tell their offspring. Politics can really cause a stir if opposing parties revel against each other. It is best to keep Christianity and politics out of the workplace, especially if no one cares what your views are on these topics.
Here’s a non workplace religion conversation. A former friend of mine said that she is involved in a witchcraft form of religion that I had never heard of until then. I just listened. Her remarks: “It’s not that I’m worshipping the devil.” I never made any comments or gave any suggestions. I just listened. Now, this has gotten me thinking. If it is not worshipping God or the devil, then who is the third party she is worshipping? The devil may be fuming. ..and I don’t need to know.
It’s funny that we have thoughts in our heads that needed a little time on our hands to gripe about. You can not ignore them. Talk about them. Write about them. Vlog or blog about them. It’s not a bother if you simply ignore them, but they are still there.. and I have a few more. Some of them I already written about in the past. Now that the issues are out there, I can finally move on because they are now off my chest. Are there any issues you are dealing with that won’t go away? Don’t we all do?
Thanks for reading!
