Those Hidden Gems

Happy Friday, everyone. It’s blogging time again. I hope everyone had a productive week. My week was a lot different than most. I went on a buying spree of stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrencies. I wanted to get back, and even greater than before, continue to invest in stocks and cryptocurrencies. My mission: to build a portfolio of equities post pandemic. That mission began a few weeks ago. I am going to share a few news tidbits and then get on with my topic for today.

In the news: 1. The White House has begun to make an aggressive push to require more of its roughly 2.2 million federal0 workforce to report to the office, starting in September and October, as government agencies look to curb remote work.

2. Subway Sandwiches & Salads is being sold to affiliates of the private-equity firm Roark Capital Group Inc. for an undisclosed price, the company confirmed Thursday. “Subway has a bright future with Roark, and we are committed to continuing to focus on a win-win-win approach for our franchisees, our guests and our employees,” Subway CEO John Chidsey said in a statement– 1&2 Courtesy of Marketwatch

3. R. Kelly is still on the hook for more than half a million bucks in restitution to his victims — but they’ll be getting a big check soon thanks to his old hits.

According to docs, obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, a judge signed an order garnishing the embattled singer’s royalties … as it was discovered Universal Music Group is holding a bunch of his royalties.

So, the company will now cut a check to cover Kelly’s restitution bill.

The order says Kelly’s outstanding restitution balance is $506,950.26, and UMG just so happens to be sitting on 567,444.19 of his royalties — more than enough to settle the debt– 3. Courtesy of TMZ.com

It took me quite some time to choose my topic for today. The reason is that I had a very busy week in promoting this site and others’ sites as well and investing in equities and other investments as mentioned in my opening segment. I was going to postpone my writing for today, but at the last minute, I decided to go ahead with writing instead. This topic I choose is very important to me today as it has been in my past. It’s those little things in life that we tend to ignore throughout our life’s journey. Those small nuggets in our pathways. We tend to miss these nuggets when we speed our way through life. Slowing down could help to spot those gems. Picking them up as we travel along to be used later on will help to direct our steps ahead to much golden pastures.

💎 During my years in multilevel marketing. My sponsors used to tell us to attend seminars and listen to them. They tell us to listen attentively because we might find some nuggets in those talks that could help us in our mission to financial freedom. In other words, take what is necessary to help us achieve our goals. This is what happened in the process. We gain the discipline to listen more. We gain patience. We never want to miss a moment of those talks in case we missed those nuggets along the way. Again. Patience and the ability to slow down and be attentive in all things I do made we what I am today. 💎 A lot of folks tend to ignore these gems as they go through life, thus leaving them by the wayside. Moving too fast is one way of not noticing them as they move forward. The worst thing that could happen is not knowing that these gems are there in the first place.

💎 Those hidden gems are all around us. We don’t have to travel too far to find them. Slow down and pay close attention to your surroundings. Stop and smell the roses. Take a road trip from time to time. Keep a positive mind. Seek, and you will find… Those hidden gems.
