Hello, everyone. It’s already a new week, and the month is speeding by quickly, or so it seems. This is my second edition to my blog on my road trip this first time to San Antonio, Texas. It took me two tries to get to Houston, Texas, so I ante up this time further west to some disappointment, which I will discuss a little later.
Long distance road travel is not for everyone. You need time on your hands depending on how far you travel and prepare yourself for traffic jams and other delays. If flying is your thing, please stick to it unless you may come out disappointed. I had to cancel my trip halfway just because I missed my connecting bus. The other time, I had to reschedule my connecting bus since I was unable to get to it on time due to an airplane accident off the highway. What are the odds this could happen. Strangely, the bus was there without the driver. The driver was late being stuck in that highway back up and over an hour late for her tour. Coming home, a driver got sick, and we all had to reschedule our trip again to another bus. I am yet to get to my destination on time and back without an issue. Since being a failure on the last three trips. But safety is paramount over all that.

San Antonio was my destination. This state of Texas is now for the first time on my list. Houston, Texas, remains prior to that. I passed through Louisville, Kentucky, and Memphis, Tennessee, for the first time. Also, a brief first-time stop over in Arkansas. Kentucky, Arkansas, and Tennessee are the addition to my forward ordessy to visit, even briefly to all 50 states, including Hawaii and Alaska. Canada, done. Mexico, in the near future.

Unfortunately, San Antonio was somewhat a bust since I was off about five hours off the schedule and gotten there at night instead of the early evening. I spent the time exploring the nighttime activities there, which was a blessing in disguise.

Let me end this segment for now with this. If you are going on a bus tour, that will take you a day or more….Here are a few tips to make your travel a success.
Take enough food and/or money with you since you will have to eat more often. Rest will come. Food stopovers may happen hours in between. Get enough food instead of longing for a desperate need for food before each stop. Get entertained. Trips can be boring even though the sites of sounds on a new town or city may seem entertaining. Charge your batteries or plug into supplied outlets on your bus if available. Get juiced up for music or videos/ movies to pass the time.

Road travel can be more expensive than plane travel. There are no free meals. Passengers can be more rowdy at times. Smokers are everywhere off the bus and funky smelling on clothing. Wear your mask or face covering when necessary to mask the odors. Get your wipes and toiletries available each tour for sanitary clean ups. Lastly, prepare yourself for major delays and missing your connecting buses and a need to reschedule your trip.
Enjoy your bus trip. Enjoy your life. Do what you love to do. In other words, live happily and enjoy life or bust(give up).
