Shortchanging ourselves is the norm in our society. Don’t blame us. Society allows this, and it is a way of putting a price tag on our very existence. In the workplace, they are caps on what you can make. Age gaps on retirement as well. There are penalties to early retirement or retirement funds. The majority of us are taxed first before income can be given to us. I believe in a structured system, of course. Without structured systems, there will be chaos in our society. Most love or adhere to this system. Schools are early learning to adapt to this. We are taught to learn to work together. Be one with the workplace. Be one with structure. Yes. We learn. We adapt. We strive. We succeed. But. Is this true success?
Success can be a broad topic. We view success in various ways. An accomplishment of anything good can be deemed a success. Winning is everything a success enjoyed by all. The same goes for this saying “winning a war, over winning the battle,” where one deemed a mere success over a multitudes of successes. A winner takes all mentology referring to a major success. All or nothing? Nevertheless, all leads to success in every view. Half glass is empty. Half glass is full. Still a success in one’s view. Where do we draw the line? What is lacking here?
What about our social status. Again, society pits us against each other based on our social status. Your likes. Your views. Your followers. The more we have of these, the better for our mental well-being. Popularity status is an intricate part of our path to success and power. Most do respect power and success in themselves and in others. In movies. In music. On social media. We love to see success in others and as a way to join in on that success by means of support and of adoration. We love success stories. We love group involvements. These moguls life revolves around what society says and does to them.
What about where we work. What we drive. Where we live. Living the “American dream” is a way of saying that we finally have arrived. All these are results of living this life as per society. We are basing our lives in the eyes of society as its policies.
So what is your net worth?
Here, most will base this on how much money they are making, how much investments they have, and how much savings they have in the bank, then limit themselves to these attributes. All these attributes are not limited to where we work, the businesses we own, the social status that we have, and the power that we have. No matter where we find success, the price of our well-being is etched in stone. Then, our lives are adjusted to live up to these means. The more we have. The more we are well in line in what society thinks of us as top tier appeal over others.
What is my net worth?
Let me speak on behalf of others. Society got all this half right. My net worth should not be and is not limited to money, social status, or power. There should be no limit, and it is not capped based on my contribution to society and in as in a job. My net worth is and will all be unlimited in staus, unlimited in potential, unlimited in power based on my contribution to self and to society at large. This may be taking this saying, too far, but limiting myself is like shortchanging myself as well. I never believe in half hearedness or half empty or half full as in a glass of water or half in anything. I look at that glass of water over pouring as in a water fountain. We are born with the limitless of potential. When we use that potential in helping others who are stuck in the notion that their lives are capped or limited, and with your help they push on to better means, then you would have used a small portion of your worth born in you, and of God( without limits) and not just in your worldly possessions and not of society.
