First. I will share some news and tidbits as usual then start on my topic for today.
In Switzerland, it is a crime to have a lonely guinea pig. In 2008, the Swiss government decided that it was cruel to leave a guinea pig without a friend and introduced an animal rights law that made it illegal to own only one animal. Guinea pigs are highly social herd animals, and therefore require at least one other guinea pig with them in order to feel comfortable and happy. So if you are looking at buying a guinea pig, in Switzerland or any other country, think about buying two, because everyone deserves a friend.

So my week was very interested since my last blog. I did my regular weekend job plus I put in a few extra days of work as well, but the most gratifying moment of my week was taking part in a focus group. I got paid immediately which was nice, but it was very interested what the group interaction was all about. I cannot talk about it in detail due to my sweared agreement not to, but, all I can say here is that technology is growing day by day. Technology is leading the way now and way into the future. We as humans have to be careful not to be left behind or worse, taken away. From the jobs of course. For the record, this is my second focus group interaction. So, I am very proud.
It is obvious that the job market is picking up. Most people are coming back to the office after years of working from home. Well, we know that some workers were given the pink slip during that time while others were nicely asked to come back to the office more regularly. I’m not a lover of jobs, but jobs can kickstart an economy that can lead to a better way of life for everyone. Then comes artificial intelligence(AI). I wrote about AIs a few weeks ago, so I won’t talk about that too much in my blog today. But, we all know that artificial intelligence will play a major role in the market share of human jobs creation. It will take humans to maintain these AIs of course, but it shouldn’t take tens of thousands of humans to maintain them. Get the picture.
Every company will want to save time and money. Employees are risky to deal with. AIs will not complain, ask for more wages, get tired or don’t get along well with others. AIs will be a safer bet to invest in for companies moving forward. I can foresee that more employees will be gone in the near future. Is there a cure for the AI blues? No. Unless you are planning on staying an employee for the rest of your living days.
We will still be part of the new technology era whether we remain employees or not. We will still use these new technologies as they become readily available whether we like it or not. Including artificial intelligence(AI). As the saying goes. If you can’t beat them, then join them. Here is my cure for AI drama.
If you are worried about losing your jobs to AIs, then you should worry if you don’t plan ahead. Start your own small business. I highly suggest an online business. This should get you automatically in the new technology era. Do some equity market investing if you got some extra money to spare. Write a blog using these techs while talking about these techs. Getting involved yourself is much better than to be forcibly getting involved by others. Don’t just buy in for entertainment purposes as most do now. Learn to invest in these new technologies as soon as they become available.
