I hope everyone’s week was great with joy and highly productive since my last post. First, I will share some tidbits of news this week, and then I will vent a little(in quotes), then will continue on my topic for today. Thanks in advance for joining in today.
Report: TikTok Takes on Amazon and Walmart With Holiday Discounts
TikTok is reportedly preparing to roll out heavy holiday discounts starting next month.
A report Saturday (Sept. 16) by Bloomberg News, citing internal documents, said the social media app is hoping these bargains can attract consumers to its newly launched marketplace as it aims to compete with Amazon and Walmart.
According to the report, TikTok is offering to subsidize discounts of as much as 50% to get sellers to take part in its Black Friday program, which will run from Oct. 27 through Nov. 30.
TikTok — which has 150 million American users — launched its shopping platform to a nationwide audience in the U.S. last week after testing it last year.
“TikTok Shop will now bring shoppable videos and LIVE streams directly to For You feeds across the country — and give brands, merchants and creators the tools to sell directly through shoppable content on the TikTok app,” the company said in its announcement
Chief Product Officer and longtime Surface evangelist Panos Panay is out at Microsoft, the executive has confirmed. The news arrives days before a New York City event set to debut new Surface hardware.
Panay had been at Microsoft for nearly 20 years, beginning with a stint as Group Program Manager, PC hardware, back in 2004. After an eight-year stint as Corporate VP of Microsoft Devices, the executive was appointed to his most recent role in 2018. During his time at Microsoft, Panay was well known for his impassioned Surface presentations.
Panay announced the news via Twitter this morning, noting, “After 19 incredible years at Microsoft, I’ve decided to turn the page and write the next chapter. I’m forever grateful for my time at Microsoft and the amazing people I had the honor to make products with.”

MONEY MATTERS
Money is not everything, but money does matter. As long as we understand what the tue purpose of money is, the better we will understand its uses. Money is not scare. It is just harder for the average or the poor persons to readily get their hands on it. Some people’s net worth can range in the millions or billions. It makes you wonder. How is that possible when the average person will never get even a speck of that money, not even in their lifetime. Well, the wealth of these folks may be tied to assets, say, stock holdings or real estate. All that wealth is money based whatsoever.
Unfortunately, they don’t teach you about making money in schools. The education system only gives you the skills to make money. After acquiring those skills, you are on your own. Most of us are taught how to make the average salary. Just enough to garner an average lifestyle of our choices. Some do excell over others. But above average is still average to the next level to my opinion.
I also believe that most students are placed in debt after leaving higher learning, especially in the US. The higher you get, the more in debt you become. The cost of education is too costly. Most still think that it’s the only way out to get a higher salary. Sorry to say that there is a cap in salaries as well. You will never get a higher wage than the industry you are in will allow. Worst. You will never get more than your boss or higher leadership in the industry that you are in. You need to know why the wealth is unevenly distributed amongst citizens.
Many opt to get rich quickly. The lottery is designed to get you riches while getting rich as well. No one cares about the taxes that will impose on their winnings. They never work hard to get rich anyway as long as they become rich. Usually, minus the taxes, they will still get a nice chunk of cash that they paid just a few dollars to get. Don’t be fooled when a person tells you that money doesn’t matter to them. It is working hard to get the money, which is usually the main issue for them. Money does matter to them. Obviously.
Money is a bartering tool. I give you money. You give me your goods or services. As long as we know the fundamentals of money, then we will know that it is not there to love but to use to get what we love.
This blog is about getting that money online for free. Unfortunately, some work is included. Getting the money is not capped like the industry where you work. It’s limitless, not limited. You will not get rich quickly like the lottery, but over time, you can build a nice nest egg. Yes. Money matters.
