I love quotes. See my previous post My mindset/quotes & motivation Here is another one: Never curse a man until you walk in his shoes…then curse at him…you are now miles away and you are wearing his shoes. Ok…I don’t believe you should curse anyone but this quote seems a bit funny. The message should be that you should not judge a person since you have never been through what that person has been through. We should respect everyone. Let’s walk in my shoes for a bit.

I love jogging or walking. It brings me in a space where I can focus and brainstorm at an higher level. Some of my decisions are made while walking or speed walking. The above illustration shows that from the point I started to record to the point I ended this walk is 1.41 miles completed in 25 minutes and 20 seconds. I walk much more miles each day but I routinely just record a particular part of my walking routine to share with everyone.
Daily routine
There is nothing more gratifying than to make my exercise routine a great part of my daily walking routine. My motivation? Getting it done. Since the Pandemic, I had more time on my hands and am able to concentrate on making this goal a reality. My ultimate motivators are my “coaches”. They are virtual. These virtual coaches helped to push me to the limits since I’m actually getting paid to stay healthy. What better motivation can you get from getting paid to stay healthy. These are part of my network of apps that I used to make extra money….Also see my previous post “Apps to share part 1”
A Kick in the rear
I don’t like going to gyms. I have no motivation working out at home either. I could easily buy myself a home gym but that wouldn’t motivate me to work out everyday. Like new toys, after a while I would get tired of it. What about a gym membership? Even as a gift, I know I would also cancel that in a short while. Being outdoors and on my own time is all the motivation I need. That’s my kick in the rear.
Brain power
“Losing weight is the top resolution for Americans, and combined with “exercise more” and “stay fit and healthy” it is something that over a third of the population wishes to achieve. It’s easy enough to start an exercise and diet program, but the trick is to find a decent one that will give you steady results and will be easy to stick to in the long run”……The long run?……This is no marathon. Walking suits me just fine. It’s normal…. Effortless….and everyone does this no matter how far or fast they go. This is like fuel to my brains. Brain power.
The ultimate goal
“Walking is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health. Just 30 minutes every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance”

In conclusion
I’ve heard people say that they walk from home to the train or from train to work instead of taking the bus to continue on to and from work and call it a workout. To me, that’s only amateurish. This event should not be rushed. You may burn some calories or reduce some stress, but in my opinion, the real workout should be a day reserved just for your walking routine. No stress going in, no stress coming out with lots of time on your hands. Weekends are great or an holiday/time off will do. But that’s just me. Whatever time you choose is totally up to you.
My view remains. I have no time for the difficult or mundane. Time is precious. There are many ways for us to choose on how we keep fit. Choose yourself. Whatever we do…don’t judge. It’s great to walk in one’s shoes every once in a while.
Have a wonderful day and weekend everyone ☺️
